LED in Alaska: Upcoming Webinar on Alaska’s Green Winter Farm

Upcoming Webinar on Alaska’s Green Winter Farm
Mark your calendars (or inform your smartphones) that on March 1, GrowerTalks’ own Chris Beytes will be moderating an educational webinar about basil-growing in Green Winter FarmsAlaska using LumiGrow LEDS. The webinar will feature owner and “chief everything officer” Crystal Boze of Green Winter Farm in Palmer, Alaska. Green Winter Farm sells pre-packed fresh basil to several markets in the state, including Carr-Safeway stores, farmer’s markets and restaurants. Crystal reports that she broke even on the project in just two months!

Crystal will give us all the details of her controlled-environment farm, from designing the facility to selecting the right mix of crops, nutrients and equipment, including her LED lighting system. LumiGrow is host and sponsor of the event, and Kevin Wells, CEO, will be on hand to share details about LED vs. HID lights and what they’re doing for Crystal’s crops.

Should be a great learning opportunity for anyone interested in indoor veggie production or LED lighting technology. And it’ll only take 30 minutes or so of your time! Can’t beat that.

Tune in March 1 at 2 pm EST/noon Central (10 am Alaska time). Register at www.lumigrow.com/news/webinar.
