Horticulture: Building an industry for the future
IoH Conference & AGM
Saturday 6 October 2012
Capel Manor Gardens, Bullsmoor Lane, Enfield, EN1 4RQ
The Institute of Horticulture’s Conference and AGM are taking place at the Capel Manor Gardens – 30 acres of richly planted themed gardens and landscapes surrounding a Georgian Manor House and Victorian Stables. New this year are the Melbourne Botanic Garden, ex-Chelsea Gold Medal winning garden, and the Ecopark Recycled Garden.
Lord Taylor of Holbeach CBE, Parliamentary Under Secretary Defra, will present the James Bruce Memorial Lecture – Growing commercial horticulture in the UK – as part of the morning programme.
We are delighted to announce that Phil Askew will be our After Dinner Speaker.
The Olympic Park was a star of the Games and Phil, who first spoke about the plans for the Park to our conference delegates in 2010, will  tell us about his work as Project Sponsor Parklands & Public Realm, at London Legacy Development Corporation, transforming the park post Games into a new public park for London.
