Future Aims

The Project is currently funded by NYCC, with a partnership between Selby AVS and STC running the project on a day to day basis. There is also involvement with the Primary Care Trust, Groundwork Selby and Extended Learning Services. In the longer term we will apply for funding the the Big Lottery Fund to help us build the infrastructure and facilities for a Social Enterprise Scheme. This will then enable us to have community members taking part in growing and packing the produce, which can be sold at affordable prices. Running along side this we also aim to act as a centre where recipients of the boxes and other community members, such as those suffering from strokes or other health problems can visit to undertake various growing activities which will provide exercise, fresh air and social contact.
