COPA-COGECA CALLS FOR STRONG CAP TO AVOID COMPLETE COLLAPSE OF MARKET

Copa-Cogeca urged EU Farm Ministers today to ensure there is a competitive EU agri-foodsector and a strong CAP after 2013, to prevent a complete collapse of the market.
Speaking at Ministers informal meeting, Copa President Padraig Walshe and Cogeca President Paolo Bruni reminded Ministers that farming is first and foremost an economic sector that underpins the largest manufacturing sector in Europe

The opinions of the experts working with the Committee on Climate Change which was set up to give advice  to Government . It covers how we need not only to adapt our land use for food /water   but also the implications of global trade on our food industry sourcing and prices  . Basically a chance for Horticulture but north of Watford as competition for water may limit the opportunities in the South .
