Royal Society asks for £2 billion for food security

Me- thinks some electioneering for University funding . I have not read it fully yet but can not find much about applied science and delivery to the industry  Of course most of it applies to less well developed agriculture  . Being parochial for horticulture nothing on green environment or plants and well being /climate moderation  which our ornamental sector provide in this climate changing world

Chemicals Regulation Directorate 2009 Quarterly Reports

The results for the first 2 quarters (January to June) of 2009 are now published in an Excel format. They are searchable by categories including quarter, county, species and month of incident. Because these results of the enquiries made by the Wildlife Incident Investigation Scheme (WIIS) are published quarterly it is possible that investigations relating to certain cases may still be ongoing and it may be necessary to limit the information published. We will publish updates to these cases as further information becomes available.
