Friends of the Earth respond to Royal Soc. Report

Commenting on a new Royal Society report on science and food, published today, Friends of the Earth’s GM campaigner Kirtana Chandrasekaran said:

“Science has a key role to play in reducing hunger and poverty, but the report’s focus on GM crops ignores mounting evidence that this technology is failing.

Fruit and Vegetable Task Force announced

A new Task Force will help England to grow and eat more fruit and vegetables and improve the nation’s health, Environment Secretary Hilary Benn announced today.
