The European Commission gives France extra time to repay

The French government now has until the end of September to repay it’s aid payments. The decision was announced by a Commission spokesman  following a meeting on Monday (3 August) at which Bruno Le Maire France’s farm minister asked Mariann Fischer Boel the European agriculture commissioner to be allowed until 29 September to present a plan on how the government plans to recoup the illegal aid.

LEAF works to ‘Inspire and enable prosperous farming that enriches the environment and engages local communities’ and this work will focus on encouraging a better public understanding of farming and the countryside and support farmers in developing more sustainable businesses through the uptake of Integrated Farm Management.

The post will be based at the LEAF Offices in Warwickshire and a competitive package is available.
