The new Tried and Tested nutrient management plan, developed by an industry partnership between LEAF, NFU, AIC, FWAG and CLA has been really well received by farmers, advisors and supporting organizations. Visit the Tried & Tested website to download the newly available electronic versions of the farm and field record sheets and have a look at the newly published Annual Survey of Fertiliser Practice 2008 which highlights a continuing decline in the use of phosphate and potash.

Syngenta to encourage habitats for pollinators

There are now three targets for insects and habitats   bird food , pollinators and the LINK project on insect predators .  Lets hope Defra and NE see these wider  habitat enhancements as applicable for ELS/HLS  schemes
